I am a third-year mechanical engineering student. I transferred to UMass Lowell from UMass Boston this past semester. While at UMass Boston, I was part of a team that created a remote-controlled Arduino Car that was wifi enabled and controlled through an app. The project was part of a program between UMass Boston and Glasgow Caledonian University and I was part of the group that travelled to Scotland to showcase the Carduino Project. While working on that project, we learned basic coding for Arduino as well as some circuitry.
I am Lucas, a Brazilian who has been living in the United States since November 2010. During my first one year and a half of residence in this nice country, I had to learn how to speak English properly, which, at first, seemed hard, but fun at the same time since I was amazed to notice how globalized this language is. After that, I went to Middlesex Community College, where I studied engineering science and eventually learned Visual Basic as well as C++ coding. I was also a part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) club where a group of students (including me) built and wrote code for small robots/machines in a project called ArtBotics. From that college, I transferred to UMass Lowell, where I got involved in the mechanical engineering program. In this first semester (fall 2015), besides another important subjects, I have been learning how to write Arduino coding as well as how to apply and use it in circuitry gadgets.
I am an International Student from India and a Sophomore Mechanical Engineering student at University of Massachusetts, Lowell. My Skills include: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Solidworks, Matlab, Operating a CNC Machine,
